2022 spy action thriller Sardar starring Karthi in the lead is all set for a sequel titled Sardar 2 now. While production company Prince Pictures and director PS Mithran are returning for the sequel, Sardar 2's music composer will see a change. GV Prakash had composed music for the prequel, but Yuvan Shankar Raja is said to be composing for Sardar 2.

Sardar 2 will be actor Karthi's 28th film. An official announcement about the movie and its other details are expected to be out soon.
