For a while now it has been hinted that Kamal Haasan's long-delayed Indian 2 will resume once director Shankar completes his ongoing movie RC 15 (tentative title) with Ram Charan. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 faced several issues during production including a tragic accident and an unfortunate legal tussle between the production banner and director Shankar. However issues seemed to be settled out of court and fans have been eagerly waiting to know the fate of this highly promising sequel.

Now Kamal Haasan in an interview has said Indian 2 will be resumed for sure and that more than fans, Shankar and him are excited and looking forward to resume the movie. Kamal has also said that Indian 2 so far has turned out well and that it will resume once Shankar completes RC 15.  

A direct sequel to Shankar-Kamal Haasan's 1996 vigilante drama Indian, Indian 2 also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, George Maryan, Vennela Kishore, Manobala among others. The technical crew of this film includes Ravi Varman, Rathnavelu for cinematography, Anirudh for music and Sreekar Prasad for edits.
