A new still of Beast, actor Vijay's upcoming movie was dropped by Sun Pictures today and it promises of comical elements in the movie. This isn't a surprise given Nelson Dilipkumar directorials always come with dark-comical elements but Beast hero Vijay has not done a comical role in years.

This is despite him being extremely funny and entertaining in the lighter portions of movies like Puli (2015), Jilla (2014), Thalaivaa (2013), Thuppakki (2012), Nanban (2012) and Kaavalan (2011) just in the last 10 years. However the vibe of the new Beast still gives fans of Vijay-comedy some hope.

Beast is a Sun Pictures production and comes with a host of comedy actors like Yogi Babu, John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, Lilliput Faruqi, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao among others. Director Nelson Dilipkumar has stated in a recent Vikatan interview that the movie  will be high on action and comedy. Beast is scheduled to release in theaters on April 13, 2022 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi (as RAW), Malayalam and Kannada.
