Makkal Needhi Maiyam founder and actor Kamal Haasan announced today that he has tested positive for Coronavirus COVID-19 and that he has currently isolated himself in a hospital. Kamal Haasan stated that he developed a mild cough after his return from Chicago, USA, where he had travelled to for the launch of his new Khaddar line.

The Ulaganayagan also reminded people to be safe while announcing this update about his health. “Please remind yourself that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet and be careful”, he tweeted.
