Billa, Aarambam director Vishnu Vardhan was supposed to have a theatrical release today but his movie will now be releasing directly on an OTT platform. Shershaah, a war drama starring Sidharth Malhotra is based on the real-life bravery of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra, who was awarded Param Vir Chakra, India's highest and most prestigious award for valour. 

A Karan Johar production, the film is now expected to digitally premiere on Amazon Prime Video for Independence day in August, 2021. Shershaah also stars Kiara Advani as Vikram’s fiancé Dimple Cheema.
