Recently there were reports that director Selvaraghavan will be reshooting bulk portions of Saani Kaayidham due to a co-star's unfortunate demise. Actor Nitish Veera who had a pivotal role in the movie passed away due to Covid last month and director Arun Matheswaran decided to reshoot his portions. 

Latest on the movie, which also stars Keerthy Suresh is that its OTT rights have almost been sold. Buzz is that Saani Kaiyidham will most likely end up with Amazon Prime Video.
