The much-in-the-waiting season 2 of Raj and DK's The Family Man is out now. All 9 episodes of The Family Man 2 dropped way before midnight on Amazon Prime Video and contrary to the initial defiance the series met, the post-release responses have been more accepting.

The Precendent
The Family Man Season 1 just like its current season was believed to be a 'product of propaganda'. Except it was thought to be a propaganda against the Muslims, the Malayalis, the Indian Army, the Kashmiris, the government, the agents who guard the country, liberals, local police; if Pakistanis watched Season 1, even they claimed it was a 'propaganda' against them.
Such is the nature of creator Raj and DK's show. It takes a jibe at everyone and everything and gives the audience a realistic view of how the world is and works. Their stories are based on true life news events and everyone is committing some decree of crime here.
Season 2
Faceless guardians of the country are once again in a crusade against extremists and potential threats, albeit in the realm of witty humour, domestic disaccord, heavy action and time-to-time reality checks.
This time Srikanth Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) joins TASC in stopping an assassination-attempt against a female prime minister, planned by a group of Srilankan Tamils who feel betrayed by the Indian government.
Samantha aka Raji is the person they are looking to stop, who is helped by Season 1's Major Sameer from Pakistan.
Take-Away
The Family Man is an entertaining spy-franchise and Season 2 is as good (if not more) as Season 1. Be warned that the bottom-line of the show is that extremism of any sort, or by anyone has never lead to anything good and one act of the same takes a whole lifetime of undoing.
