Fahad Fasil's JOJI is one of the most expected Malayalam film this year, the major reason for the sky-high expectation is that the film getting back the popular duo joining for the third time. (actor Fahadh Faasil, director Dileesh Pothan ) after Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.

 The duo's previous collaborations turned out to be a big hit both critically and commercially. Considering all these, the makers initially planned to have the film release on theatres.

However the latest update suggest that due to unknown reasons the makers have decided to release the film directly on OTT platform instead of theatres. The OTT leading streaming company Netflix have acquired the movie rights. The movie is expected to get premiered soon on Netflix.
