Composer A.R. Rahman in a recent interview stated that after he won the Oscars and Grammys for Slumdog Millionaire, the 'India fever' prevailed internationally for at least 4-5 years that followed but India as an entertainment/music industry didn't 'cash in on the popularity'. He further went on to cite the K-pop boy band group BTS as an example and how they opened up avenues for South Korea on the international platform.
