Singer S.P.Balasubramaniam who remains hospitalized since August 5, 2020 after he tested positive for Coronavirus COVID19 has gone into extreme critical condition in the last 24 hours. MGM hospital released an update on the veteran singer's health today and they have stated that the 74 year old is on maximum life support. 

The singer's health update comes as a shock given only recently his son SPB Charan stated via his Instagram channel that SPB is looking forward to leave the hospital. “Dad continues the steady progress toward getting better. Ekmo/ventilator, physiotherapy continue with oral intake of liquids. He’s been eager to leave the hospital as early as possible", Charan had said.
