In a major setback, legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Chennai where 10 days ago he got himself admitted after testing positive for COVID-19. It is worth mentioning here that SPB only had mild symptoms and had confirmed through a video message that he had voluntarily checked himself in instead of home-quarantining. 

MGM Healthcare Chennai has now confirmed in an official announcement that SPB is currently on life support after he developed complications last night.
