In an unusual delay in the release of a Hollywood project, director Christopher Nolan's TENET has been pushed to a premiere date of August 12, 2020 after only being recently announced to release on July 31, 2020. This is the second release date adjustment to the movie and the pandemic Coronavirus COVID-19 is said to have factored in this change.
TENET is also releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in India and media reports had previously quoted a source close the film's production in India as stating, “There have been no film release in a long time and Tenet looks like an exciting film for exhibitors. There were fears that they’ll have to play old releases which might result in negligible occupancy...Warner Bros India is planning an extensive release in dubbed versions and they have worked hard on making the dialogues sound colloquial and simple, without dumbing it down...everyone is expecting Tenet to work very well across the country...”
TENET starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson in the lead is touted to be a spy thriller and also stars Bollywood actor Dimple Kapadia in a key role.
