The last rites of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by hanging on Sunday, were held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle in Mumbai today. The cremation was attended by Sushant's family who flew in from Patna this evening and also present were Hindi film fraternity names such as Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Vivek Oberoi among others.

Rajkummar Rao, Sushant's co-star in his debut film Kai Po Che, Kriti Sanon whom the actor had worked with in Raabta and actress Rhea Chakrobarty, his close friend and co-star from his unreleased film were in attendance too. Meanwhile, the Mumbai police have ruled out any foul play as the post-mortem report given by doctors states asphyxia due to hanging as the provisional cause of death.  

Statements of Rajput’s cook, house helps, his neighbours, actress Rhea Chakroborty, his sister have already been recorded while the rest of the family members are yet to record theirs. The actor, 34 was last found hanging in his room at the Mont Blanc Apartments on Carter Road in Mumbai's Bandra and is suspected to have died of suicide after a long battle with depression.
