Earlier this year, actress Trisha had updated that she had begun work on a big-budget movie titled Ram with actor Mohanlal and Dhrishyam director Jeetu Joseph. Owing to the outbreak of novel Coronavirus COVID-19 and the extended lockdown across countries throughout the world, the scheduled shooting of the film in UK and Uzbekistan was stalled and recently there was a buzz that the movie has been shelved. 

However, Jeetu Joseph has reportedly confirmed that it is not the case. The director has clarified that since international travel is not possible at this time, he is merely utilizing this time to begin another production which will be shot entirely in Kerala. Ram on the other hand will be resumed once flight travels are enabled. 

Ram is bankrolled by Abhishek Films and has Indrajith Sukumaran and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles. Touted to be an action thriller, the film has Satheesh Kurup for cinematography and will see Trisha in the role of a doctor.
