A notorious whatsapp forward claiming that Indian's 'clapping' on March 22, 2020 during the 'Janata Curfew' actually helped reduce the 'potency of the Coronavirus' as it was amavasya day (no-moon day) was shared by Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan on his Twitter page today. To Bachchan's credit, the tweet was accompanied with a picture of Big B expressing shock, hopefully at the legitimacy of the statement.
But twitter was in no mood to give benefit of the doubt, considering the seriousness of the pandemic and while one half of the twitterati stuck to their manners and respectfully pointed out Bachchan's mistake, the other half blatantly came with their swords out at the 77 year old actor.
Do you really believe it or joking?

The clapping thing was to applaud the workers or to scare the virus 🤣

Pls don’t spread WRONG INFORMATION. Firstly, Amavasya is on 24th March, not 22nd. And secondly, the Nakshatra on 22nd was Satabisha, on 24th will be Uttarabhadrapada NOT Revati.
