Dhanush starrer Pattas which hit the screens for Pongal 2019 has turned out to be a hit at the Box Office. The film also starring Sneha and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar revolves around ancient martial art Adimurai and kickboxing. Pattas which opened to mixed reviews did good business in its 5-day extended opening weeked, thanks to the festival holidays. The film grossed close to Rs. 25 cr in 5 days in TN.

Dhanush's film has raked in around Rs. 29 - 30 cr by the end of its second weekend (Jan 26) in 12 days. The film has achieved break-even and entered profit zone. The producers had already made a table profit by sales of theatrical and non-theatrical rights. The film has been a profitable venture for all stakeholders including distributors and exhibitors. Dhanush has scored his first hit this year with Pattas.
