While the Tamil film producers have welcomed Tamil Nadu Government's new policy of bringing in a complete online ticket sales at movie theaters, the theater owners in the state seem unimpressed with the announcement. Some screen-owners have apparently not made too much of the new policy and have noted that it could affect the B and C centers which pull in crowds that are not on the internet. 

Also, they aren't too happy with the Information and Publicity minister's announcement that the pricing of food and beverages at movie theaters will be regularized and kept in check. "Each product is ingredient-based..The raw ingredients of a food product may vary from place to place and depends on various factors. How could they standardize pricing for different qualities of the same food?", they have been quoted as saying.
