Gorilla Songs Music Review

Ramesh S Kannan

Gorilla is an upcoming heist comedy thriller movie directed by Don Sandy with Jiva and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles. Sam CS who is busiest in Kollywood, scores music for the film. Let's checkout whether he is able to deliver a memorable soundtrack for this movie or not.

Yaaradiyo: Yaaradiyo has the man of the season Sid Sriram behind the mic and he lifts the tune effectively with his rendition. However, the tune falls flat in the charanam after quite a winning title hook. Sam CS continues his custom of writing lyrics for his own composition and the verses are adequate enough the prod the tune forward and the composer shines with respect to the violin solos in the interludes.

So Mitta: So Mitta is the Chennai Gaana which rides mainly on Mukesh's rendition but fizzles out due to the insipid tune and Logan's lyrics doesn't help either. The only solace being Sam CS's engaging arrangements intermittently.

Gorilla Theme: Sam CS easily scores in Gorilla theme track and Aishwarya's rendition especially in the starting portion gels well with the movie's heist thriller theme while Anthony Daasan elevates the tune in his inimitable style.

Bottomline:

Gorilla is the short soundtrack from Sam CS but one wishes that the soundtrack was a more impactful one.

Rating: 2.5/5

Pick of the Album: Yaaradiyo, Gorilla theme
