Aishwarya Rai Bachchan confirms she's part of Mani Ratnam's next! Here's when she says Ponniyin Selvan will begin!

 

We have been reporting for a while now that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who made her debut into films with Mani Ratnam's Iruvar in 1997 and has worked with the ace director in Guru (2007), Raavanan (2010) and Raavan (Hindi - 2010), is making a comeback to Tamil with his upcoming project Ponniyin Selvan.
  
The actress who recently graced the red carpet at Cannes confirmed the same during one her interviews there and was quoted as saying, "..Even though Mani (Ratnam) hasn't formally announced it himself, but the word is out..so yes I will commit to the fact that yes I am working with him..and i have..I don't have to say agreed..I'll always be more than thrilled, excited, overwhelmed and humbled and just happy to work with my guru Mani..so yeah that's happening.."
  
Aishwarya further shed light into when the ambitious multi-starrer project would be beginning by stating, "At this point..towards the end of the year.."
