Director Sarkunam's upcoming film Kalavaani 2 (K2), which is a direct sequel to his earlier super-hit Kalavaani had a trailer release over the weekend. The movie has the original cast of Vemal, Oviya and Saranya Ponvannan among others and the teaser shows Vemal trying to contest in the local elections.

Kalavaani 2 is produced by Sarkunam's own banner Varmans Productions in association with Screen Scene. The U certified movie is aiming for a Summer release this year.
