Over a 100+ directors, predominantly from the South released a joint public statement on Friday, appealing to the public to vote BJP out of power this elections. The statement which features on www.artistuniteindia.com details about the fascist calamities that have struck the country ever since BJP came to power in 2014.

Internet hate campaigns and the over-usage of the term 'anti-national', exploitation of the armed forces, appointment of irrelevant office heads, banning and censoring of films, farmers' issues not being given importance have all been described in detail in this statement and it ends with an urge to 'choose a government that respects the Constitution of India and protects freedom of speech'.
