Actress Vidya Balan who was earlier rumored to be a part of Thala 59, Ajith's upcoming film has confirmed to Filmfare that she is indeed a part of the movie. Thala 59 is the Tamil remake of Hindi court room drama Pink and is a production venture of late Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor.Talking about her role Balan was quoted as saying,
“I'm doing a special appearance in the remake. It's a small role. It's special appearance because Boney ji (Kapoor) is producing it. He offered it to me. He said that there is a special appearance, will you do it? I said I will do it for you. I don't like to do remakes. I'm doing this purely for Boney ji. I share a special affection for him.”
However, Vidya has confirmed that she is not one of the three main girls in the H.Vinoth directorial, for which names like Kalyani Priyan and Nazriya Nazim were said to have been approached.
While director Aadhik Ravichandran will be seen playing one of the three boys, TV personality Rangaraj Pandey is playing the ruthless prosecution lawyer defending these men, charged with kidnapping and molesting oe of those three girls in a moving vehicle.
