Vikram's Mahavir Karna gets A.R. Rahman, Game of Thrones Technicians & more!

 

Actor Vikram's most ambitious project is Mahavir Karna is back in the news for roping in the biggest names in the film industry and according to latest reports composer A.R. Rahman has been roped in for music of the film. Word also has it that the movie's visual effects will be worked on by domestic and international teams and both Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies VFX company and technicians who've worked on the famousGame of Thrones series have been roped in for the same. 

If one may recall, director RS Vimal had described the film as “a movie with an international appeal, with Mahabharata as the central theme..presented through Karnan." While it is obvious that Vikram would be essaying the role of Karnan, a top Hollywood actor is said to have been roped in for the role of Bheema. 

To be made on a huge budget of Rs 300 crore, Mahavir Karna is bankrolled by a New York-based production house United Film Kingdom. The shooting will begin in January, 2019 and the team plans to release the movie by first half of 2020.  

Mahavir Karna recently had a pooja at the at the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala the film’s team posted a message from the director along with pictures from the pooja ceremony:
