NTR Biopic is one of the most awaited films in Tollywood featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role as 'NTR'. The film is a biopic on actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). The film's title has been changed to Kathanayakudu. The makers have made an official announcement regarding the new title also confirming the film's release date as January 9, 2019 on their Twitter handle.

The film also stars Vidya Balan, who will be seen playing the role of NTR's wife Basavatarakam. Rana Daggubati is essaying the the role of Chandrababu Naidu, NTR's son-in-law. Sumanth is playing the role of  Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR). Rakul Preet will also play the role of Sridevi in the film. Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta and many prominent actors from Tollywood are expected to make a cameo appearance in the film. Directed by Krish, the film has music composed by MM Keeravani.
