The episode one of Bigg Boss Tamil season 2 was off to a very disappointing start as actress Oviya who was expected to stay at least for a week (to warm up the contestants who would not be facing any elimination this week) was outed as fellow contestants found her suitcase to be filled with water bottles and discovered that she wasn't a full-time participant. The first task of the house where the participants had to find envelopes was won by Janani Iyer, Mahat and Mumtaz and the contestants chose Janani from among the winners to be the captain. 

Aishwarya is laughed at by fellow contestants when she tells the camera about how one would feel if they wore the same underwear for more than one day and in the new promos, when she is seen acting goofy with Yashika, the other contestants are shown taking an irk to it. The two are shown speaking about how others undermine their seriousness and that they will be the ones remaining in the finals of the show.
