Ever since Lingaa happened for Rajinikanth, word of the Superstar teaming up with director A.R. Murugadoss has come and gone. Even recently, A.R. Murugadoss who is currently busy shooting a film Vijay, was in the news for having originally written the script of Thalapathy 62 for Rajinikanth. This long-delayed collaboration may finally be seen happening for we are informed that there is a project in the brewing, which has almost been green-lit by the parties involved and is waiting to go on floors from February, 2019. 

While on one hand, there is no official confirmation to this, on the other this update comes as a relief to fans of Rajinikanth, who were pegging his untitled film with Karthik Subbaraj and Sun Pictures to be the last one before he steps into the world of politics.
