Megha Akash in Rajinikanth-Karthik Subbaraj film!

Updates on Rajinikanth's next film after Kaala keeps cropping up every other day and the latest unconfirmed one is that Oru Pakka Kathai and Enai Noki Payyum Thota actress Megha Akash has been signed to play a pivotal role in the film which is to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Only recently a photoshoot with the film's team was conducted at the sun-network office and it is being said the team will be shooting in Uttarakhand's capital city, Dehradun from June 7, 2018.

Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing an important role, possibly the role of a villain while Bobby Simha and Sanath Reddy are also part of the cast. Simran is said to be the frontrunner for the female lead while the film's music will be handled by Anirudh Ravichander, with the cinematography being taken care of by Tirru.
