Anirudh is currently busy with the music score of Nayanthara starrer Kolamaavu Kokila (CoCo). The recently released single Kalyana Vayasu penned by Siva Karthikeyan is trending at #1 spot on Youtube. The song has already crossed six million views on  YouTube. The composer was accused of plagiarism for this song which he clarified stating ‘lack of awareness' as the reason.

Rajnikanth’s film will be a mix of mass + class

Anirudh in a recent interview spoke about his upcoming project with Superstar Rajnikanth and Karthik Subbaraj to be produced by Sun Pictures. The composer is really excited to be on board for this project. Anirudh who happens to be a big fan of Thalaivar himself, said that the album will be a mix of mass and class songs.

Anirudh said, "I'm also planning to deliver the music as a Thalaivar fan but will ensure that it should appeal to all music listeners. Karthik Subbaraj has written the script as a Thalaivar fan without compromising his own style of filmmaking. The script has lots of scope for music. You can expect something very exciting from us"

‘Unbreakable’ DNA back in action

Anirudh also spoke about the rocking DNA combo which has been missing in action for quite some time. Dhanush and Anirudh had worked together since his debut film ‘3’ with Kolaveri number getting them the much needed limelight.

The duo have worked together in 7 films (3, Ethir Neechal, VIP, Kaaki Sattai, Maari, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Thanga Magan) so far.  Anirudh in an earlier interview revealed that there was no fallout between them and that they would return soon. He has now stated that it was a healthy break and the duration has become longer now. The duo will be back in action next year and a new project announcement will be made in January 2019.
