The winners of 65th National Film awards are currently in the process of being announced and so far prominent Tamil film personalities like A.R. Rahman, Sridevi and cinematographer turned director Chezhiyan have been featured in the list of awardees. The award ceremony will be held on May 3, 2018 where these names will be felicitated. This year, the jury was headed by director Shekhar Kapur with a panel of 10 members - screenwriter Imtiaz Hussain, lyricist Mehboob, actress Gautami Tadimalla, Kannada director P Sheshadri, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Ranjit Das, Rajesh Mapuskar, Tripurari Sharma and Rumi Jaffrey.
