Rajinikanth denies unveiling party name & flag on Tamil New Year!

Actor-politician Rajinikanth who returned from his 'spiritual journey' to Chennai earlier today met the media outside his residence for a few quick questions. Though he addressed everything from Periyar to Ram Rajya Rath Yatra in Tamil Nadu to Cauvery Management Board, the main highlight of the speech remained his denial of one of the most anticipated events in his political career. On being asked if he would like to confirm or deny about the unveiling of his Party's name and flag on April 14, 2018 i.e. Tamil New Year, the actor said "I deny this."

Rajini who condemned the demolition of Periyar statues as barbaric, agreed that Ram Rajya Rath Yatra should not have been allowed inside Tamil Nadu (citing potential disruption of communal harmony) and reiterated that the state should pressurise the Central government on the Cauvery issue, however refused to comment on the dig taken over him by his industry counterpart Kamal Haasan.
