National award winning director cum actor Cheran is back and this time he in in the news for not one but two films. Cheran will be seen playing the lead role in a film titled Rajavukku Check, which has gone on floors today. Said to be an investigative thriller, Rajavukku Check will be directed by S. Rajkumar who is known for directing the Jayam Ravi-Shriya Saran starrer Mazhai in 2005. The movie is also said to be set in Chennai and have an angle that focuses on a father-daughter relationship.

Added to this, Cheran will also be seen directing another project this year. This yet untitled film will have Cheran play a pivotal role alongside the leads and will begin by April, 2018. The finalized cast of Cheran's directorial so far includes Thambi Ramiah, MS Bhaskar, Jayaprakash, Suganya, with an official announcement on the leads expected to be made soon.
