Scripting begins for Mudhalvan 2

News has it that a sequel to Mudhalvan, a 1999 political-thriller featuring Arjun and Manisha Koirala, is being planned by the movie makers. As revealed by writer K.V Vijendra Prasad, the scripting for Mudhalvan 2 has begun and he is currently busy penning the story. It is worth mentioning here that he is the same writer who penned the Baahubali series and Vijay's highly expected movie Mersal. Mudhalvan 2 will be produced by AM Rathnam of Sri Sai Raam Creations. 

While the cast and crew has not been finalized for the film as of now, word has it that the producer is keen on roping in director Shankar (who had helmed the prequel) for Mudhalvan 2 as well. However, it is being said that the producer is waiting for Shankar to complete his commitments with his upcoming venture 2.0.
