Actor Sathyan joins the team of Vijay 61

Earlier we had reported about Vijay 61 scheduled to begin shooting in February this year. Latest we hear is that the movie is all set to begin its shooting from February 22, 2017 and that comic actor Sathyan is the latest addition to the team. Though majority of the film is expected to be shot in the US and UK, industry sources confirm that those foreign schedules will take place in April - May since the summer is at its peak during that time in the state. While AR Rahman is said to be the composer of this film, talks are also on with actor-director SJ Suryah to play the antagonist in the film. Actresses Samantha and Jyothika are the other two names closely associated with the project. 

To be directed by Atlee, this upcoming project will have Antony L Reuben for its editor and debutant Vishnu (who had earlier worked as an associate with names like George Williams and Richard Nathan) as its cinematographer. This project which is Atlee's second consecutive collaboration with Vijay also has Kajal Aggarwal playing female lead and will be bankrolled under Sri Thenandal Films. Reputed script writer K.V. Vijendra Prasad (of Baahubali, Naan E, Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame) has contributed to the penning of this movie's script.
