AVM sells Suriya's Ayan Hindi remake rights to TIPS 

AVM sold the Hindi remake rights for Suriya and KV Anand's Ayan to TIPS for a large sum of Rs. 1.5 Crores. This movie released more than 3 years ago seem to be fetching money for its producer, AVM, who had hastily sold the Tamil distribution rights to Sun Pictures for a modest profit during the making. Sun Pictures made a huge profit as Ayan turned out to be the biggest grosser of 2009, propelling Suriya's career. 

This news comes in as surprise as to why TIPS decided to buy Ayan for such a high price as the Hindi dubbed version of Ayan had been repeatedly shown in Hindi TV networks already. 

It is reported that Prabhu Deva, the newly anointed remake king in Hindi, may be the director of the movie. The star cast and other details are expected to be confirmed once the director comes onboard.
