Chekka Chivantha Vaanam - I don't remember a film in past 10 years in Tamil Cinema that comes up with such a huge cast and what's more striking good about it is that every cast/character has an equal space on the screen. Unusually for a Maniratnam film the film starts right from the word go with a thin line plot - "Battle for Chair", in the process Mani takes us to the world of Senapathy & his family, where the powerful weapon Betrayal is unleashed. While every other character lived their role, ARR's Background score gives an authentic feel to this gangster world.
