Atleast 7 new movies are gearing up for a digital premiere on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform this July, 2021 and 5 of them are direct to OTT releases. A mix of Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and International films, details of these said movies are listed below.

1. The Prime Day Show - July 8, 2021

International pop-stars and grammy award winning musicians Billie Eilish, H.E.R., and Kid Cudi are co-headlining this year's Amazon Prime Day Show. It is a first-of-its-kind three-part immersive musical show, with almost 30 minutes each of a mix between reality TV, fiction and a live stream.

The India premiere of this Prime Day show is expected today i.e. July 8, 2021.

2. Tom and Jerry Movie - July 10, 2021

The Amazon Prime Video premiere of Tom & Jerry movie which released earlier this year is expected in India on July 10, 2021. The movie brings back the legendary cat and mouse rivalry to New York City, where an event planner's career, a great Indian wedding, and one of the finest hotel's reputation are put at stake.

3. Malik (Malayalam) - July 15, 2021

Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil's latest is releasing directly on OTT and the crime-thriller directed by Mahesh Narayanan follows the story of Sulaiman Malik, who rises to prominence through his unswerving fight against political and police corruption in his village. 

4. Toofan (Hindi) - July 16, 2021

Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6, Bhaag Milka Bhaag director Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra's new film is another major direct to OTT release on Prime Video this month. The Bollywood film stars Farhan Akthar in the lead and features him as Ajju Bhai, a national level boxing champion. 

His journey to his championship title is what the movie is about. 

5. Ikkat (Kannada) - July 21, 2021

A small budget rom-com starring Nagabhushan and Bhoomika Shetty are in the lead, Ikkat is directed by Esham Khan and Haseen Khan and also stars RJ Vicky, Sundar, Anand Ninasam among others. The film has music by Doss Mode and cinematography by Lavith.

6.Sarpatta Parambarai (Tamil) - July 22, 2021

Director Pa. Ranjith's sports drama was highly anticipated in theaters but the movie chose to release directly on OTT. The film starring Arya and Dushara Vijayan in the lead follows the clash between two clans namely Idiyappa Parambarai and Sarpatta Parambarai in North Chennai and showcases the boxing culture of the 1980s in the locality.

7. Judas & The Black Messiah – July 25, 2021

Another theatrical release from earlier this year, Judas and the Black Messiah is making its Amazon Prime Video premiere in India on July 25, 2021. The film is a biographical drama about the betrayal of Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya), chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party in late-1960s Chicago, by William O'Neal (Lakeith Stanfield), an FBI informant. 

The movie is directed and produced by Shaka King and distributed by Warner Brothers.
