Thala 56 shooting begins today

The shooting of Ajith’s new film tentatively titled "Thala 56" directed by Siruthai Siva is commencing today. The film shooting will happen in Chennai. A set resembling a Kolkatta Chawl has been erected in Binny Mills for the shoot. The team will be shooting the scenes involving Ajith and Lakshmi Menon.

Soori has been roped in the film to provide the comic relief. Initially Santhanam was signed for this role. Since he had already committed to a couple of films as hero, the actor couldn’t accommodate the dates required for this film.

Shruthi Hassan will be playing the female lead. The film stars Ajith, Shruthi Hassan, Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles. Anirudh will be scoring the music. The movie will be produced by AM Ratnam's Sri Sai Ram Creations. The makers are planning to release the film for Diwali.
