Natty Breaks Silence on "Thambi Thappu" Trolling: 'Nobody Is Questioning the Abuser'

Actor-cinematographer Natty has broken his silence over the widespread trolling he faced following his now-viral "Thambi thappu" comment on social media. Speaking in a recent interview, he explained that the remark was a direct response to someone abusing him and his family online under a fake ID, and that his measured response was unfairly made the subject of ridicule while the actual abuser went unchallenged.

"Nobody is questioning the abuser, but they are commenting on my statement," Natty said. The backlash pushed him to issue strong warnings on X, at one point declaring he would return abuse for abuse — a stance that itself sparked fresh debate online.

The trolling also intensified following the release of TN 2026, a political satire in which he plays a superstar actor entering politics, widely interpreted as a reference to Vijay's political entry.

Natty was recently seen in Karuppu and has Dark, directed by Kalyan K Jegan, releasing on July 3.
