Filmmaker Vijay has opened up about witnessing Ajith Kumar's latest motorsport achievement at Le Mans, calling it both a historic moment and a deeply personal experience. Ajith recently competed in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, held at the iconic Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans in France.

Sharing his thoughts after attending the endurance race, Vijay thanked Ajith for the opportunity to witness and document what he called a landmark chapter in Indian motorsport. He described being present at Le Mans, one of motorsport's most revered events, as an unforgettable experience, placing it alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix in terms of prestige and difficulty.

Vijay called Ajith's participation a matter of pride that went beyond personal achievement, noting that the actor-racer and his team carried the hopes of an entire nation onto one of motorsport's biggest stages.

He also touched on the team's performance over the race weekend. Ajith Redant Racing's Car #36, driven by Kartik Narain and Aditya Patel, finished P13 in the Pro class, while Car #16, with Ajith and Romain Woźniak behind the wheel, secured a P9 finish in the Pro-Am category.

Describing the achievement as more than a personal milestone for Ajith, Vijay said it would be remembered as a defining moment in India's motorsport journey, and wished the team continued success in future outings.

Vijay's presence at Le Mans ties into Gladiators, a documentary he is currently directing on Ajith's racing journey, set to chronicle the highs and lows of his international motorsport campaigns.
