Gatta Kusthi 2 is bringing back the whole family. Ahead of the July 3 release, the makers unveiled a quirky 'Retained Players' poster confirming the return of the original ensemble alongside leads Vishnuu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Kaali Venkat, Karunaas, and Munishkanth are back as Sattam, Veera's Mama, and Chitappa respectively, with Lizie Antony, Gajaraj, and Sreeja Ravi reprising their roles as Athai, Appa, and Amma. The sequel picks up from where the first film ended, with Veera and his wrestler wife Keerthi now parents to a daughter. Adding to that, child actor Zara Zyanna has been announced as the daughter of the lead pair within the film's world.

The technical team is entirely fresh from the original, with Sean Roldan composing the music, Bhaskaran KM on cinematography, Barath Vikraman editing, and Jayachandran S as art director. The film is produced by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International and Vishnuu Vishal under Vishnu Vishal Studioz, with Shubhra, Aryan Ramesh, and Ishan Saxena as co-producers.
