Composer Sai Abhyankkar continues his strong run as he comes on board D55, Dhanush’s upcoming film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, confirming earlier speculations. The yet-untitled project was announced in November last year.

Sai Abhyankkar has been gaining attention after a successful debut in Malayalam with Balti and his Tamil debut Dude, whose hit song ‘Oorum Blood’ crossed 100 million views and went viral across platforms. He has since signed multiple high-profile projects, including Benz (LCU), Karuppu (Suriya), Marshal (Karthi), and the untitled Allu Arjun–Atlee film.

D55 will be produced by Wunderbar Films in association with RTake Studios. The film was earlier planned under Gopuram Films before the change in production. Dhanush also has Kara with Vignesh Raja and an untitled project with Mari Selvaraj in the pipeline.
