With the Suriya–Venky Atluri film officially locked for a May release, Netflix has aligned its streaming date accordingly. This strategic scheduling has now prompted a shift for Suriya’s #Karuppu, which is being moved to an earlier theatrical window.

According to sources, the team is currently considering January 23 or February 6 as the most viable release dates. Industry buzz suggests that these slots are being evaluated to ensure maximum reach and avoid crowding in the calendar.

Karuppu stars Suriya in the lead role and is directed by RJ Balaji, with production handled by Dream Warrior Pictures. The film’s music is composed by Sai Abhyankar.
