Parasakthi starring Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan among others is an upcoming Tamil language political drama that is set to release in theaters worldwide on January 14, 2026 (Wednesday). Parasakthi and its dubbed Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada versions are hitting theaters screens marking the Pongal/Makar Sankranti holiday season in South India.
At this time, Parasakthi producers Dawn Pictures have unveiled a new poster for their movie featuring lead star Sivakarthikeyan. Parasakthi is written and directed by National award winning filmmaker Sudha Kongara, and is based on true events of the 1965 anti-Hindi agitation by revolutionary college students in real life Tamil Nadu.
Parasakthi has National award winning composer GV Prakash Kumar for music. The film is set to clash with actor-politician Vijay's last film Jananayagan (January 9, 2026) at the Tamil box-office, Prabhas' The RajaSaab (January 9, 2026), Ravi Teja's Bharta Mahasayulaku Wignyapti: 1 (Sankranthi 2026) at the Telugu box-office, Kichcha Sudeep's nephew and debutant Sanchith Sanjeev's Mango Pachcha (January 15, 2026) at the Kannada box-office.
