Eleven is a Tamil-Telugu crime thriller written and directed by debutant Lokkesh Ajls that released in theaters on May 16, 2025. Made on a budget of Rs. 4 Cr, Eleven did considerably well at the box-office raking in Rs. 6.8 Cr. in gross collections. A sleeper hit this year, Eleven was headlined by actor Naveen Chandra, who is a known face in both the Telugu and Tamil film industries. 

However Naveen Chandra was not the first choice to play the anti-hero in Eleven. In a recent interview director Lokkesh Ajls revealed that he wrote Eleven keeping Silambarasan TR in mind, and tried casting him too but couldn't reach the actor. 

Silambarasan TR is an A-lister in Kollywood, and an association with the actor would mean a bigger budget and other commercial inclusions, taking away the modesty of a nominal budget movie. Not to mention the success of Eleven was partially due to the fact that there were no spoilers for days, because there were no big names involved in the movie. Nevertheless, the Eleven filmmaker has now expressed interest in collaborating with Silambarasan TR on future projects.
