Dragon is Pradeep Ranganathan's sophomore release as actor, and incidentally also his second Rs. 100 Cr+ blockbuster with the AGS Entertainment production banner. Unlike his first movie with AGS, which Pradeep Ranganathan also wrote and directed, Dragon is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. 

This Pradeep-Ashwath combo has turned every head in Kollywood including Superstar Rajinikanth's. Taking to X on February 5, 2025, director turned actor Pradeep Ranganathan shared customary meeting clicks taken at Rajinikanth's residence. 

Previously, Ashwath Marimuthu had shared that Rajinikanth met with team Dragon at his house, to praise and talk about the movie. AGS Entertainment's executive producer Archana Kalpathi  is also seen in the clicks taken with Rajinikanth.

Pradeep Ranganathan captioned his post, "When Thalaivar (as Rajinikanth is often addressed) did that cigarette style, I was done.
