The official Thangalaan trailer starring Vikram in the titular role, dropped Wednesday evening in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Writer, director Pa. Ranjith, known to stun the audience with his intense filmmaking style, has done it once again with Thangalaan. Actor Vikram is terrific as the tribal leader, who is up against the British in their plot to seize his tribe's land for gold mining. 

Thangalaan has Parvathy, Malavika Mohanan playing female leads and GV Prakash for music. The movie is a production venture of Studio Green and has Junglee Music label for audio.
