Actor Vijay's untitled project Thalapathy 68, marks the reunion of the star with his Bigil (2019) producers AGS Entertainment, his first time collaboration with director Venkat Prabhu, and second time with music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Actors SJ Suryah and Jyotika have been linked to the project but an official announcement on the cast and crew awaits.
At this time, the multi-faceted Premgi Amaren is rumored to be on-board Thalapathy 68. Premgi Amaren is an actor, music composer, lyricist, singer, rapper and he is often employed in his brother Venkat Prabhu's films. Premgi's buzzed association to Thalapathy 68 doesn't come as a surprise, but it may have been solidified by a recent tweet that the Tamil personality made on his Twitter account.

Sharing a video clip from the success celebration of Chennai - 600028 (2007) which catapulted both Venkat Prabhu and Premgi to overnight fame, Premgi re-hashed how actor Vijay loved his contributions the most in that film. This is being taken as a hint that Premgi will next be seen sharing screen space with Vijay in Thalapathy 68.
Thalapathy 68 is AGS Entertainment's 25th production and close to the movie's announcement, it was strongly buzzed that Vijay was offered a whopping Rs. 200 Cr. for the project, making it the second highest salary take-home for an Indian actor.
