Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead is an upcoming action thriller that marks the Bollywood debut of director Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan's co-stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi who play the female lead and antagonist of the movie respectively. Actress Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Tamil star Vijay and Telugu star Allu Arjun will be seen in cameo roles in the movie, and latest update on Jawan is that the shooting has been wrapped after 180+ days of filming. 

Talkie portions of Jawan were wrapped on April 5, 2023 and in the last few days shooting of the remaining two songs - one with Shah Rukh- Nayanthara and the other with Shah Rukh- Deepika Padukone were completed. The filming concluded today with the shoot of SRK-Deepika song and some images from the sets were also exclusively unveiled by ET Times. 

Jawan is gearing up for a June 2, 2023 release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Previously we had reported that Shah Rukh plays dual roles in the movie, and a flashback involves Vijay Sethupathi becoming the reason for Deepika Padukone's death. Latest Jawan plot details further discloses,

“An emotional journey of a man who is set to rectify the wrongs in the society, in an attempt to get even with his past, driven by a personal vendetta while keeping up to a promise made years ago. A high-octane action thriller where he is up against a dreadful monstrous outlaw who knows no fear and has caused extreme suffering to many. In the journey he will cross paths with a high-minded seasoned lady officer whose emotions might get the better of her as she gets involved in this battle. As his past catches up with him, to overcome the challenges and restore the harmony in their world, he will need all the firepower and intelligence to do so.”

 

Also starring Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra among others, Jawan has Anirudh for music. The movie is gearing up for a teaser release in the first week of May, 2023 and a trailer release mid-May.
