David Dhawan is back with his signature three-way romantic comedy. The teaser of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, was unveiled on Tuesday.

The teaser opens on a quirky note, featuring two AI-generated toddlers discussing their parents. While they realise their mothers are different, they suspect they might share the same father. The narrative then shifts to Jass (Varun), alongside Baani (Mrunal) and Preet (Pooja), setting up a classic love triangle.

Adding a nostalgic touch, a recreated version of the song ‘Ishq Sona Hai’—originally featuring Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen from Biwi No. 1 (1999)—plays in the background.

The film marks Varun’s first collaboration with both Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. It also reunites him with his father David Dhawan for the fourth time after Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No. 1.

Backed by Tips Films, the film also features Chunky Pandey, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Mouni Roy in supporting roles. Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is set for a theatrical release on May 22.
