Varisu [Vaarasudu in Telugu] is actor Vijay's upcoming movie with director Vamshi Paidipally and the movie produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations recently had three first look posters unveiled, marking actor Vijay's birthday. Reportedly, Vijay also was busy wrapping the second schedule of Varisu yesterday and the same was attested by film's composer SS Thaman, who shared a picture from the sets that day.

Varisu will next resume shooting in July, 2022 i.e. next month and plans to wrap by September this year. The film is scheduled to release for Pongal/Sankranthi in January, 2023. Reports also suggest that 45% of Varisu has now been filmed and its next schedule will begin at Hyderabad; Among the portions that remain to be shot are two songs while another one has already been filmed with Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna.
